Crustacean Compassion is a UK non-profit organization committed to supporting the well-being of marketable decapod crustaceans — lobsters, craps, prawns, nephrops. The organization has amassed a remarkable knowledge base for their mission, and prepared a comprehensive report on best practices, major issues, violations, and possible solutions. My job was to give the report a compelling form.
I proposed a three-column layout: main text would run in two columns while key recommendations will be set in larger font size and run across the entire width of the page. This structure allowed the recommendations to stand out and turned the report into an efficient guidance book.
Infographics were another important feature of the report. Using a combination of vector stock and bespoke illustrations I created a set of colourful informative images explaining the enduring journey of the animals from capture to fish markets.
